***COUNTERFEIT DENSO SENSOR***

***BUYER WARNING*** I received a counterfeit Denso sensor. I contacted Denso directly to confirm that this sensor is fake. If your sensor doesn't say "Made in Japan," it's most likely a fake.

Only works with

Replaced my OEM part in a 2005 RX-8 because I accidentally damaged my original MAF sensor. This Denso model is OEM specification. Connected, everything worked, no drama. Small bonus: the idle is a bit more stable, just before the change it was rocking plus or minus 150 rpm - I could watch the revs rise and fall every few seconds (nothing serious). Immediately after installation, the idle became stable. Otherwise, no difference in performance, consumption, etc. (which is good). Big bonus: It's a

Works as it should

Easy to install on my grandson's Toyota Tacoma but it's really Toyota design but plug in, reset check engine light and bam, there you go. The light is gone and his MPG, while not great, is back to where it should be, not significantly less. A bit pricey compared to some of the competition, but I've had issues with other manufacturers' MAFs too and this one is still not expensive, just not cheap. screws. I did just that and spent more time finding the right length M4 than anything else.

Perfect for 2000 4Runner 3.4 V6 4WD SR5

After 178,000 miles it's time to stop cleaning the old one and finally replace it. The check engine light (P0170) came on. Replaced the sensor, the problem went away and it works MUCH better. Be careful of the 2 screws holding the sensor, they tend to rip off the Phillips; Take out the filter box/MAF housing and lay it on a bench so you can push these screws down a bit. 3 screws, 1 clamp, a hose/clamp and the air chamber is removed. Just reinstall. The whole thing takes 20 minutes including…

Mass Air Flow Sensor 2004 Tacoma 3.4L V-6

Needed to replace the mass air flow sensor on my truck. Wanted to stay with the OEM so bought Denso. Toyota Denso was printed on the old one. This one only says Denso, but made in Vietnam, not Japan. I went to Denso's website, yes they have a factory there. I was afraid I had a fake but it's real. After cleaning the air filter box and installing it works fine. Fixed my rough idle and improved acceleration. I didn't have a check engine light or code, but I knew the old one was starting to fail…

Code P0171 fixed in 2005 Camry 4 cylinder

My car was flashing check engine light and had trouble starting but once started it ran fine. I used an OBD2 scanner to read the freeze frame data and found that the car was throwing a code at 2200 rpm and the LT fuel trim was 39.7. This led me to suspect a problem with the fuel pressure or MAF sensor. I collected live data while driving and noticed that the MAF reading dropped erratically at high RPM, indicating a possible problem with the MAF. I got this sensor as it was an OEM brand and it…

Original Denso. fits 04 Tacoma Prerunner 3.4L

My truck has over 210,000 miles on it. I used to clean the MAF once a year, but now I know that after so many miles, one cleaning wasn't enough. Before installing the new MAF I had a few issues which I thought were due to wear and tear from the aging engine. When driving normally, everything seemed fine. But with a strong acceleration or a sharp start, the engine jerked sharply. When I bought it (34,000 miles) I had no problem getting to 105 mph, but after all these years I realized one day…

Runs Like Clockwork

If your vehicle is running lean (P2177 on 2008 Mazda 5, P0171/P0174 on most other 2-row vehicles) and your symptoms get worse while driving (compared to idling) then there is a problem. It may be due to the mass air flow sensor. Other candidates are the fuel pump, injectors, and oxygen sensors. If you're looking for an air leak, you're going in the wrong direction. Turns out that was our problem. Shortly after installing the new MAF sensor the long term fuel trim went from 20% to 5% as you can…

Works great when you know what you're doing

My car had a rough idle and after cleaning my stock MAF I saw a big difference in idle and no more hesitation when accelerating on my Mazda 5. It came back so I bought a new one instead only to be cleaned once. The reason this part fails is due to excess carbon in the air intake. You also need to clean the throttle body or you risk premature failure of the new MAF. I cleaned the throttle body, replaced the MAF, then reset the ECU, re-learned the idle and the car ran like new again. . This is…
