These candles give off a beautiful, realistic glow and shimmer

Bought 2 sets to add to the sconces I have on my walls. These candles emit a beautiful, realistic glow and shimmer. I love that they come with a remote control so I don't have to turn each one off individually. My only complaint is that they are slightly larger than standard votives, so they don't fit neatly in my votive holders, leaving about 1/4 inch of clearance at the bottom. I was able to add a few small rocks at the bottom for the candles to sit on. It looks good, but it makes the candles stick out more than I'd like (because it makes it clearer that they're not real candles). ). Overall I like them and would buy them again. **UPDATE** I bought these on purpose because they come with a remote control. The holders I have them in are awkward to access without a step stool, so I thought a remote control would be a great way to add some candlelight. However, I've learned the hard way that it's better to manually turn off the candles one at a time. If you use the remote control to turn off the candles (which keeps the switch on the real candles in the "on" position), the batteries will burn out FAST. If the switch on the candles says "on", the battery is dead, regardless of whether the candles are actually lit. This renders the remote function practically useless. I've had battery or radio controlled spark plugs before and never had this problem. I still really like how the candles look but I'm very disappointed with the features and reduced battery life. The button batteries needed for candles are not cheap. If I had known that beforehand, I don't think I would have bought it. In the current form they cannot be used for the purpose I want.
