Review on 🐾 Akinerri Pet Carriers - Approved, Collapsible, Soft-Sided Travel Carrier for Dogs and Cats, Cat Carrier for Small-Medium Cats by Ashley Mann

I bought this Akinerri carrier for my then 8 lb cat. It had large mesh windows, ventilation and was a decent size to keep my cat comfortable during trips to the vet. I also bought a separate pillow which makes it very comfortable and durable. So why only 4 stars? And why didn't I end up using it and donating it to an animal shelter? For some strange reason, all sides were zipped except for the top, which had velcro. I watched in slow motion, horrified, as she pushed her head to the end of the Velcro and released it, freeing herself. I put her BACK in the stretcher and once again she found the weakest point of resistance and broke through. I was so lucky that this happened at home and not on the street. And it's a great carrier, but why, for the sake of sanity, did they add velcro? The whole bag had to be reinforced with strong zippers. Spring. still a great product but not for my smart MacGyver kid.
