Review on πŸŽ™οΈ Panasonic RR-US430 Voice Recorder: Thin Style, PC Software - Record up to 33 Hours! by Chris Lentz

Improvement needed

I bought this recorder because I had 2 previous Panasonic recorders. Right from the start you need to know that Windows Vista is not compatible with XP. In contrast to previous RR US360 recorders, playback through its small speaker is very tinny and distorts very quickly. Yes it's thinner and a plus is there's a pause in record mode and more recording time on board. As for hidden placement in a pocket for recording conversations with a zoom setting, I haven't tried it. The previous versions of the RR US360, which I now own two of, are fantastic. I've recorded organs and weddings with the RRUS360 and found great sound quality. I have one on my phone line for recording voicemails and customer contracts, and this new device has the bells and whistles to do just that. With the right cables, I transfer (I record) chapters from iPod audio book files. Buy rechargeable batteries. With the RRUS360, you can record a full day on a single set of batteries. I am currently buying as many XP compatible RRUS360 units as I can find, but the people who have them don't sell them because they are great tools. If you have Vista I would consider this new device a buy, but not a strong buy.
