If you just want an easy to use voice recorder that is inexpensive and doesn't necessarily sound good for music then this is for you. I've only had it for a few days so if it lasts a year it will be a good deal. However, compared to my tape recorder, it is far superior in every way.

No complaints. Originally bought to take to parent teacher meetings but my wife used it at the toy shop she runs for some EVP work as she suspected a recently deceased colleague was being re-stalked. , scratch and voice. Great product, also great for meetings, the software is intuitive and flexible.

I have had it for many years. I've recorded hundreds of hours of dictations, notes, conferences and meetings with it. Picks up sound well. All files are in MP3 format so you can download them easily. If you get it right, your dictation software can take over and transcribe it for you if you have a version that allows it.

I would not recommend this device for three main reasons: 1. The sound quality is quite poor with the internal microphone and speaker. The external microphone and speaker are too bulky for notes.2. Does not work when powered by the USB port. You need to unplug it and run two AAA batteries (inserted backwards) to play or record.3. I bought this recorder because I had 2 previous Panasonic recorders. Right from the start you need to know that Windows Vista is not compatible with XP. In contrast to previous RR US360 recorders, playback through its small speaker is very tinny and distorts very quickly.
