Good middle ground between pocket tester and certifier

I bought the NF-388 in December 2017. He went out of business in October 2019. I'm a field engineer so I fix and run Cat5 regularly. I've used this to test and measure hundreds of runs with minor discomfort. It annoys me to have to switch from meters to feet every time you turn it on, but I'm used to it. I've never had any problems measuring length. , and I was not zealous with the calibration. The numbers on the cable and the numbers on the screen have always been close enough for me. A 20 foot gap at the end of a 1000 foot box is acceptable based on all the variables involved. It was great for testing multiple runs. With 8 remote controls, this saved a lot of installation time. Hang a key on each connector and test them all on the panel. He did a good job of identifying opens and shorts. I've only had a couple of occasions where I actually used the length before it broke down the middle because I usually just replace whatever is bad, but one day it helped me find a bad clutch over the net. Gave me the length to snap and when I popped the tile out I found a random coupler. The port flash came in handy a few times when the patches weren't marked. I haven't used BNC or RJ-11 much, but they worked when I needed them. The sound function still works. The device still turns on and beeps, but it no longer recognizes the remotes or cables connected to it. I've deleted the ports to make sure it's not junk and even removed the back to check for a fuse, but that's not the issue. All in all, I think I'm just exhausted.
