Adirondack Cat Food Made in USA [Limited Grain Free Cat Food for Adult Cats] Dry Pet Food Cat, Chicken and Whitefish Recipes I have a more unusual pet that I picked for my prickly hedgehog. And boy did he love that meal! I did extensive research to make sure the food was safe and only tested one or two pieces a night before increasing the amount (he never eats this food exclusively, I always mix several types of pellets). He didn't have any smelly stools or the side effects that I see. The amount of protein and crude fat in this feed is adequate for what is generally recommended for hedgehogs. The food pieces are a bit big but I think he has fun breaking them. Notably, the company lists peas/lentils/chickpeas quite high on the ingredient list. These can be "extra" ingredients and are not ideal, although not terrible if the food is an additional rather than a "main course" (as I said, I mix this food with others). None of the ingredients were particularly harmful to hedgehogs, although I always encourage owners to do a little research of their own. However, my hedgehog is very picky, so the fact that he liked this food so much is a good sign!
