Suitable for truing wheels. I even built some wheelsets on it. However, it is not as easy to use as a real wheel straightener. Real wheels take significantly longer to build and are even more difficult to wash if you want to go the cheap route and skip the dishwashing tool. If all you do is service your bikes and don't care about getting your wheels perfectly aligned, then this is a cheap alternative to the much more expensive wheel straighteners. It's basically the same as the TS-8 for 1/3 the price if you already have a repair stand.
