Suitable for a quick setup when the wheels aren't too bad. Works better and is much easier than straightening them in the bike frame. Does not replace the correct stand. Great value for something you'll probably never use. I didn't want to spend the money on a more expensive table stand when I would probably true a wheel 1-2 times a year. if any. I would recommend adding a screw to the tip of the slider to get a much more accurate truth and an audible "scratching" sound when it hits a high point on the rim.

It's a neat touch, but once you get the hang of it, using a bike frame will probably be just as easy. The plastic friction indicator only really works when the wheel is moving in a certain direction and in contact with the rim as it is flexible. If I were designing it I would use something more rigid like a metal ball pointer. The bike mount is very nice. I've used it a few times but I really don't need it, it's more of a cool gadget than a workhorse.

Suitable for truing wheels. I even built some wheelsets on it. However, it is not as easy to use as a real wheel straightener. Real wheels take significantly longer to build and are even more difficult to wash if you want to go the cheap route and skip the dishwashing tool. I was looking for other assembly stands and came across this one by accident. If you already have a Park Tool repair stand, you're good to go. In fact, this is an addition to these racks.
