They suit me perfectly. They were used to raise the bed in the van when the existing ones just couldn't hold the bed anymore. It was one of those projects that I dreaded and put off thinking it was "one of those" projects. , which would become one of those "all-day" projects. I had the old style with a small retaining clip but wanted to upgrade to this new 10mm bullet (and I'm glad I did). I lost one of those little retaining clips while removing the old ones. I figured they might hold the bed longer, but if they were the same size I could "maybe" use the old jacks on one or more of my basement doors. , (almost all of which also need to be replaced). And what a nice surprise (for a change, lol!). The brackets I bought for them had exact hole alignment just like the old brackets. No re-drilling holes, driving screws, installing new brackets while I worked "under the bed" and held on to a short 3/4 inch PVC stick! I finished the project about 1/2. Hour, "YES"!
