Review on Children's 2-wheel city scooter TechTeam City Scooter Disk Brake 2020, white/pink by Wiktor Witold Skow ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

The quality exceeds all expectations, I recommend to buy.

I bought it to keep up with the child on a three-wheeled scooter. I am an experienced cyclist myself. Adjusting the brake did not cause any particular problems, they work like clockwork. The method of laying the cable was clearly not thought out - where it enters the frame there are sharp edges on which the shirt is cut. There would be a radius to make or a plastic sleeve. Enough for several seasons, and there it is not difficult to change. It is very unusual to use the foot pedal, so I was looking for it with a hand brake. In addition, it is much safer - while you are braking with a disc, your foot is already near the ground. I must have been lucky. My scooter doesn't rattle much. On a flat surface it rides silently, on uneven asphalt it rattles not much stronger than a child without depreciation. The wheels are pretty hard though. Moreover, the main source is the play in the front shock absorber and fork, and not in the folding mechanism. He just does not make noise and does not play. With a height of 186cm, the steering wheel is quite comfortable for me in the upper position. I tightened the grips with screws and made them non-removable - otherwise they play and creak. I really don't see the point in removing them. In general, an excellent unit for the money, I advise.

Pros
  • Good cushioning in the back, sturdy, looks okay. Great handbrake! Doesn't rattle. Will do for your money.
Cons
  • The brake cable is all tattered already. see photo. The front shock absorber works very hard, in fact jerky. A deck for a size 45 leg is too small, there is nowhere to put the second one. plastic gaskets under the eccentrics are torn after the first normal tightening. See photo.
