I was disappointed because I expected each light on the strip to be able to represent a specific range of colors when in fact the strip is made up of separate red, blue and green lights. With three lights in a row, from a distance they will reflect the color you enter on the remote control. It can produce almost the color you want from a few feet away, but other versions of this product with the same remote control and antenna have bulbs that individually reproduce the exact color. I feel like this set was a bit pricey for something that doesn't quite match the colors. Otherwise, the bulbs are very bright, which is great. Be careful where you install the white cube attached to the power cord. It's what you point the remote at to change colors and it requires line of sight to work. The strips are covered on the back with brown wax paper. It is part of the double-sided tape! If you tear off the paper and aren't careful, you can tear off all the double-sided tape and nothing will be left on the strips. Be very very careful not to rip off all the tape and it will be perfect! If you rip off all the tape like I did because you didn't know what it was, you can take any double sided tape and cut it to size. Make sure you dust and clean the area where you are sticking the light. otherwise lint will stick to the lamps.
