I wish someone had bothered to write this review when I bought this system, so here it is: Although the physical installation of the system is relatively easy, I am giving this system 1 day after the install back. The setup guide falls short on many levels, especially when it comes to explaining how to connect it to Alexa. In fact, the setup guide doesn't mention Alexa at all. There is NO app or access to Alexa without paying a $24.99 monthly ransom, which seems a bit sneaky, if not greedy to the point of ridiculous. In other words, you can install it yourself, but you cannot use your smartphone to do anything with it without paying a ransom. They offer a $5 per month fee so you can view footage from a single camera for 30 days, but when you're seeing poor 720p camera quality, why bother? You can't hurt a video - you can't upscale it, and why do you think a 720p picture would be better if you did? It's not like this. Any CCTV system without a 1080 HD camera is a joke. this is a joke You cannot delete recorded videos that are retained for 30 days from the app. What do you do with those personal videos after 30 days? You can find the Alexa functionality online. Somewhere. Much luck!
