is perfect for my need to externally and inexpensively supplement the cooling fans in my desktop. It has an on/off switch, but I leave it on most of the time. This is a tiny click. Complete silence and not audible in my house due to the general ambient noise. Except for the metal parts in the motor and the metal Phillips screws here and there, it's plastic, including the blades. The protective cover has holes that are approx 6mm wide, so it is very unlikely that even the tiniest finger will get soaked. It creates a strong wind directed at the air intake vents, keeping the internal temperature of my desktop well below the temperature that triggers a temperature issue alert. For the price I paid for this color fan, this is a great deal. also great for cooling people and pets if needed, although I think computers come first. Arrived on time, packaged very securely.
