I have a mid 2015 Macbook Pro Retina that I run Bootcamp on to play Windows compatible games. The computer is equipped with an AMD Radeon R9 M370X 2GB graphics card, which is known to "throttle" (or cap) card performance at relatively low GPU temperatures, and this cooling pad WORKS MIRACLES for its gaming performance! Unlike all the other laptop pads I've researched, this one has fans that SPIN PARTICULARLY FASTER when powered by AC power rather than when plugged into your computer's USB port. It makes sense not to only load the laptop with power when you're trying to cool it down! Just take a 10-foot plug-to-plug USB cable and plug it into your iPhone plug (or any 5 volt plug) and then plug it into a wall or power strip and voila, there you are Electricity for your cooling pad. .In addition to confirming performance, the computer runs better when running Mac OS for work etc, which is why I use it all the time! Can't recommend it more. 5 Stars.
