We ended up using this stand to store an iPad in our shop for our small business. After using it for a few weeks we can say that it's great for our purposes! The clamp is very strong to keep your iPad from slipping out. The stand itself is made of really durable metal and looks very nice on our counter. In fact, the mounting hinge is really solid and moves when you want it to, but stays in place when you don't. The hinge moves very well and the base rotates easily. The only downside to this stand was that when we first used it, made a clicking or popping sound every time you pressed the kickstand, so basically every time you tapped the iPad screen, the kickstand "clicked". However, I simply unscrewed a large screw at the bottom of the stand and removed the rotating base to tighten the internal screw. As soon as I did that and reinstalled the rotating base, the noise stopped! Luckily, this problem was easily solved and now if this happens to you, you know how to fix it.
