Review on Under Armour TriBase Reign Trainer Men's Shoes and Athletic by Jackquell Cash

No killer nano or metcon

I've been a regular user of the Reebok Nano for several years and decided to give this a try as I was looking for a different style/colour. IT'S TOO TIGHT (TIGHT), TOO SOFT AND MOST IMPORTANTLY TOO SLIPPER.1. Tight - several reviews mention that it loosens over time and I hope this is the case in my case. It has a sock-like design and my midfoot feels cramped. I wore it all day while shopping and doing some chores around the house - my leg was starting to hurt. For some reason it doesn't seem to be available in wide version2. Soft - I was intrigued by her description of "Tribase" but this really isn't a strength training shoe. Tried a few deadlifts, squats and swings in KB - just lacked the ground feel I was expecting from the Nano or even the Metcons3. NO GRIP is the only reason I can't wear it other than for the occasional shopping or gardening. Very slippery. I felt it as I walked the wooden floor of the house, but I remained optimistic. My CrossFit box is cleaned after every class/session and I initially thought the weird "no grip" feeling was because they used too much cleaner that day. But after a burpee warm-up and a run in a slightly wet parking lot, I'm both convinced and disappointed that this combination of material and design is dangerously slippery. I switched back to my nanos this morning and won't be going back to UA any time soon. Update: After some regular use, the base is now holding up better and doesn't feel as tight. Still not for strength training, the base seems as stable as the Nano
