Yes you can clean it

I've had it for a few years and it still works but it's dirty. It took a little time to figure out how to clean as there are no documents for a long time. There are small indentations on the back of the rear half of the grille. If you push the outer shell toward the center, the front will separate from the back. Then you can pull out the blade. There is a small set screw that allows you to remove the rear grill if you find it necessary. Then just turn the grate.
