Great radio stations. If you can follow my instructions and set the squelch

So here's the deal, the products are great! Buy a programming cable with these radios. We need sales representatives on the street to be able to contact our offices to ensure tickets are available before escorting the customer to our office to purchase. We are surrounded by skyscrapers. We had a HUGE problem with the 3W H777. models. They stopped working within half a block. So we bought these because we thought they were "stronger". And then we realized we had to reprogram them to make them work with the H777. Not only do we set the frequencies for the channels, but we also set up two private channels for the managers. We also set the squelch to the lowest level and voila! These radios work AMAZING well and transmit clearly within a 20 block radius. Which is pretty important in Times Square/New York. Here's what you do: A). Buy a cable with a walkie-talkie B). Install the driver for the cable yourself from the supplied disk C). Download the software for these radios here: http://www.retevis.com/download?ADUIN=2853127170&ADSESSION=1422490408&ADTAG=CLIENT.QQ.5344_.0&ADPUBNO=26428 Software filename for H-777: BF-480. rarD). Use winzip to extract the file into a new file on your desktop. e). Open the folder with the program and install the file with the extension .exeF). Open a new program which should appear in your start menu as TC has a small G radio icon). Connect the USB cable to your computer. Skip the Windows driver update as you have already installed the driver. Just wait for Windows to finish "initializing" the cable. And watch out, because Windows will tell you which "COM" port was assigned to the cable. H). Plug the end of the radio cable into the radio and turn on the radio. I). In the TC3000 program go to "Settings" and set the COM port to the same COM port assigned to the radio J). Click the menu until you find 'Read from Radio', then click 'OK'. The radio has no password. So just leave this field blank. k). Program your radio now! (YouTube has an excellent guide written by a guy from England that explains a lot of the basics of radio operation and why things are done the way they are done in the settings. The guy's name is James Fletcher.) http: //youtu.be/Z0Lan54TL0ASo . That's it! That's a pretty good little radio! I'll try to update in 5 months when it's winter and see how they do in the cold. Now they work pretty well in the heat. I gave the company a star because the programming cable and MUCH BETTER DIRECTIONS should accompany these radios. when they are sent. The whole time. OTHER NOTE. I highly recommend that if you're using them in an urban environment, you set the squelch to a 0 or 1 setting and make sure "Channel Busy Lock" is enabled. After making these adjustments, the radios have amazing range.
