Review on Tridon EP34 Flasher: The Ultimate Solution for Reliable Signal Control by Mark Saric

Just what I needed for the turn signals

I am the proud owner of a 2012 Genesis Coupe and have finally decided to take the plunge and replace all exterior lamps with LEDs. I've read over and over that when replacing traditional turn signal bulbs with LEDs, the turn signals "hyperflash" (flash at a very high speed) due to the inherent low power consumption of LEDs. and "trick" the system into falsely recognizing burnout. The Tridon EP34 turn signal is a direct replacement for the stock turn signal supplied with this vehicle. Installation was very easy; Underneath the driver's side dash I found the original turn signal and pulled it out of its socket, carefully loosening the retaining pin on one side. The original turn signal module remains under the dashboard. The tridon strobe light fits perfectly into the car socket and immediately starts adjusting the flashing speed of the turn signals. Because of the easy access to the rear brake lights, taillights, turn signals and reversing lights, I rebuilt them first, but they stayed alive. running hyper firmware for a couple of weeks while deciding when to rework the front position/turn signals. While I had already replaced the rear turn signals with LEDs, the front lights were still regular incandescent bulbs. In case anyone is interested, the Tridon blinker managed to restore the normal blinking speed of both LEDs and regular bulbs (without hyper blinking). I then replaced the front turn signals with LEDs and everything works and looks fine.
