I bought this collar specifically because of the width. My pup's newest collar was over the standard 3/4 inch width and was irritating her neck where she was even pulling. Her latest collar was a similar size, listed at 14.5-24 inches, and it fit her well without even tightening it all the way. This collar is listed as 14-24" for the large size, which we re-ordered, versus the medium for the extra width, but it doesn't really go down to 14" when fully dressed; it comes in at just over 16 inches. Even tightened, it was too loose around her neck. I thought maybe the collar I received was just defective and wrote to the seller. They asked for pictures of the measurements I had taken and after I sent them told me they were wrong. The seller was quite rude about the predicament and offered no help other than tugging on the martingale loop to tighten it. I will be returning this collar and buying elsewhere.
