Great collar! - Slip & Martingale Collars

My dog is training and I was trying to find something between a harness and a leash. This collar is great for this purpose as it keeps my dog from slipping out of the collar and keeps him in line without constantly choking him with a leash. So if she pulls, she'll quickly stop, and combined with positive reinforcement training, this collar works. Plus, the collar itself is bright and colorful! Great product for dogs who are exercising or not. I only tug a little when she pulls or sees a dog…

The size doesn't really go up to the 14 inches stated in the description!

I bought this collar specifically because of the width. My pup's newest collar was over the standard 3/4 inch width and was irritating her neck where she was even pulling. Her latest collar was a similar size, listed at 14.5-24 inches, and it fit her well without even tightening it all the way. This collar is listed as 14-24" for the large size, which we re-ordered, versus the medium for the extra width, but it doesn't really go down to 14" when fully dressed; it comes in at just over 16…

Inexpensive, well made and sturdy

We have a foster dog who is very energetic, willing to do anything and had no leash manners when we adopted him. Rescuers provided her with a collar with a cheap plastic buckle, which she broke on her second day with us when she hit the end of her leash to fly at Mach 5 after a squirrel. I have ordered an Expawlorer collar to replace and it is holding up great when trained to walk on a leash, her antics run through the woods and undergrowth around my yard and she has to do it countless times…

I love this collar! in dogs

Update - August 2021 I still use this collar to rescue our under 2 year olds and still love it the most. It's been in lakes, swamps and rivers more times than I can count and it's holding up well with no fraying or broken seams. The only problem we had has nothing to do with the collar, it has to do with her little Jack Russell head and her big fat floppy beagle neck. As she grew up, the now thicker neck and heavy dog fur combined with her small terrier head made collaring easier for her…

Too Many Takeup For My Girl

My dog looks like a cross between a Whippet and a Pinscher and I wanted to try this collar on his long neck. The head is slightly larger than the neck. Neck measures 12-12 1/2 inches. Since the small size was 11-19 inches, I found that wasn't a problem. Well it works, but not in the way I expected. If the collar is snug, I can use my big hand. I'll rate 3 1/2 at least the tension. That might be good for a big dog, but it's not good for a big dog at all. It's ok to go, there's too much weight on
