Update - August 2021 I still use this collar to rescue our under 2 year olds and still love it the most. It's been in lakes, swamps and rivers more times than I can count and it's holding up well with no fraying or broken seams. The only problem we had has nothing to do with the collar, it has to do with her little Jack Russell head and her big fat floppy beagle neck. As she grew up, the now thicker neck and heavy dog fur combined with her small terrier head made collaring easier for her. However, with her training this was rarely a problem and I still use the collar almost daily. I still recommend this high quality, durable collar that has held up well to the elements. Bought this collar for an 8 month old rescue pup. She has a small head and a massive body with a thicker neck. It's perfect for her! It's easy to put on and I don't have to struggle with her to put the collar on. He helps control them, but at the same time does not suffocate them. I've worn it while swimming in the lake. I'll just rinse it out when we get home and hang it to dry. I highly recommend it.
