Like many home projectors, I have an inexpensive "Big Store" type band saw. I recently decided to convert it to be able to cut aluminum and steel sheets. So I slowed it down and bought this blade. Now I can cut EVERYTHING. Wood, plastic, thin sheet steel and aluminum. Before buying this canvas I had always used the cheaper 3/8" sheets but they were scattered all over the place. I'm so impressed with how easy it is to cut a straight line now. I think the lower speed and 24 TPI help a lot. Of course, when cutting aluminum and steel, it is necessary to slow down the blade. Nobody uses these cheap band saws for production work, so it doesn't matter that they cut wood slower. I've used it quite often. now and didn't notice the dullness of the blade, this was the perfect solution for me.
