Review on πŸ”‘ Pack of 2 Uncut Ignition Chipped Car Key Transponder Blanks for Ford Lincoln Mercury Mazda - KeylessOption Replacement by Kaushik Inlawker

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Half worked. Buy Strattec.

I needed to get an extra ignition key for my recently purchased 2003 Mazda B3000 (like the 3 liter Ford Ranger). The seller lost one of the two originals and I wanted at least one as a spare. If you're in a similar situation and don't mind putting in some effort (and saving some money), here's what I recommend. ), most likely you have installed a PATS II anti-theft system. Find out if you do. In any case, you must purchase a Strattec (OEM) key if you want to be sure it works. Visit the Strattec website to find exactly the parts that fit your vehicle. I bought mine off EBay for $35 including tax and shipping. You can find yours cheaper. The second thing you need, if you have PATS II and only an original dongle, is to download a program called "Forscan". I wouldn't choose such a name for the program, and it doesn't matter. Follow all the instructions on the Forscan website and you should be good to go. This fake brand provided me with a key engraved with a small "SA". I could program that. (The originals are marked with an "S".) The other key, which had nothing engraved on it, didn't work. I gave it 3 stars because with my Strattec key I now have 2 spare ignition keys and a door only key. So the purchase was not a total loss. It's still a reasonable price, but if you need a guarantee, use a Strattec-made key.
