Best Sampler for Old Vintages

For decades I had an Ah-So cork remover that I bought while working abroad. It disappeared somewhere and was never found. I have purchased or received as gifts many different types of corkscrews over the years with varying degrees of success. I think the old "waiter" style is probably best for most people and most wine bottles. However, if you have an older vintage with a "complex" cork, nothing beats Ah-So. I recently had a relatively young (2013 vintage) Pinot Noir that completely disintegrated the cork when attempting to remove it with a waiter's corkscrew. My wife said I should have used Ah-So. Well, suffice it to say, this event made me buy Monopol Ah-So immediately. It works just like my original, which I think was also a monopoly. Yes, Ah-So might seem a little intimidating, but just follow the instructions (or YouTube) and you'll be fine. Incidentally, I would avoid cheaper fakes and stick with the German version.
