TL;DR Great GPU at a great price. Only air-cooled, but still impressive. Longer story: I had an overpriced GTX 690 in my Alienware PC. I later replaced it with a cheaper and better quality EVGA GTX 980Ti. After a few years I noticed that the GPU gets very hot. There was another PC error that destroyed this GPU so I replaced it with this one. A little later I built a new PC and installed this GPU. After the 980Ti, I feel like I can't settle for a non-Ti GPU with less than 6GB of VRAM. This GPU is a great replacement for the old one! It can even run Ark: Survival Evolved in epic environments, which I couldn't before. It didn't always give me 60fps in those games but it wasn't noticeable, Ark looked amazing playing it with that GPU! I finally saw it hit just over 90 fps in a certain area. Like I said, I'm very impressed with the price/performance ratio of this GPU. I'm also impressed that it doesn't draw as much power as my last two GPUs and still performs better. I am also impressed by the cooling performance. Towards the end of their life, my previous two GPUs got hot and easily hit the 80s and 90s (Celsius). I remember towards the end of its life the 980Ti only reached the 60s and 70s idling. The idle temperature is around 30-40 degrees. I tested it with a program I don't remember the name of. Under heavy loads, it reached 80 degrees, which bothered me. I asked EVGA and they said it was definitely in the acceptable range for this GPU. In games, the temperature does not reach 80 degrees, which is impressive for an air-cooled GPU. At first I was disappointed that I couldn't find an AIO water cooling block for it, but I've since found that it doesn't need one. I tried overclocking it but I don't think I really noticed a difference in performance. The only reason I noticed an increase in FPS and speed was when I watched it with EVGA's Precison X1. Graphic card. Now that ray tracing is coming to Minecraft, I wish I had the money to buy an RTX 2080 Super or Ti, but they are expensive! Luckily, EVGA has a step-up program that allows you to upgrade your GPU to a new one at a discount. I can finally do it. I spent more money and bought a 10 year warranty which I think is impressive. So far I love this GPU!
