I bought this because my sewing machine only has vertical bobbin holders and I often sew with spiral/cross threads that are designed to be pulled from above , rather than not on the side. This stand gives me a vertical feed so my filament doesn't twist/break more often. It's heavy and doesn't "walk" on the table etc. My only complaint was that I couldn't get it on the table, although the seller was quick to contact me and walked me through the setup (They didn't screw up the bars completely plugged in). Happy with my purchase and would recommend.
