Solid braided line works well, good and flexible but difficult to weave even with the right tools. I haven't tested this under load, but it should work fine for our purpose. We use it as an anchor line on a 21ft jet boat, our lake is calm and not that deep. It's a nice light and flexible leash, I don't expect our use to exceed the rated strength. A stainless steel thimble screwed into the line is not a very thick material, but it will do.
