Review on Enhance Your Aquarium with Seachem Fluorite Onyx Sand Substrate: Unveiling the Incomparable Aquatic Bliss by Sandra Price

Muddy, cloudy at first, but the plants are thriving!

Update: I saved the onyx and it's fine now, but you only have to work with one plant at a time, you can't do bulk changes or you'll still have clouds. My plants seem to love it, they are growing like crazy. Original post: I thought people were exaggerating when they complained about the dust. NO! I have washed this thing 10 times but it still gets cloudy like in the photo. THEN, when you run your filter, all that thick grey-beige dirt gets into the filter media so you have to clean it every hour or it will never clear. It still can never clear up, I have no idea. HOW are you supposed to PLANT your plants when every time you stick your finger in the sand to bury the roots, that MASS is released so you can't even see. BREATHTAKING. Now I have to remove 4 packs of this waste of money and replace them with Carib Sea - tested and correct.

Pros
  • Pretty impressive
Cons
  • Some issues
