I had high hopes for this replacement mechanism. It was identical to the 20 year old Pottery Barn movement, a cheap plastic movement powered by a single AA battery. They were relatively easy to replace and have been working fine (albeit at times slower) as of January 2020. But two weeks ago the hour hand made a mistake and is now depressingly stuck at 6. When I took the clock off the wall the hour hand just oscillates freely. .I wasn't counting on the 20 years I got from the original Pottery Barn mechanism but a year is ridiculous.
