The duck worked great until about 2 weeks after receiving water leaking through it. I tried taking the batteries out and drying them but when I put them back together the digital screen still didn't work. Not sure if it was just a fluke from what I got but it looks like for a product designed for water it shouldn't be damaged by water when it's that light swims in the tub. I really liked it until it didn't work anymore. How I used it: I ran the tub, then put the duck in for about 3 minutes to take the temp, then took it out. For longer soaks, I put it back on top of the entire tub to make sure the temperature doesn't get too high as I add more water.
