Review on Sennheiser HD 206 Closed-Back Over Ear Headphones - Discontinued Model by Funahashi Riko ᠌

Revainrating 4 out of 5

I expected mediocre quality, but it was a pleasant surprise.

Headphones were bought in a home studio as control and for singing next to the microphone. In principle, they will cope with their duties normally. However, I want to share with those who are going to buy them. First of all, please note that 108 dB is not sensitivity, but the maximum sound pressure developed by the headphones. The manufacturer bashfully hushed up the real sensitivity even on the official site. According to my estimates, it is somewhere around 98-100 dB. And this means that not every smartphone can really shake them, even despite the resistance of 24 Ohms. And how could it be otherwise, if speakers with a diameter of 25 mm are installed inside? Look, it is perfectly visible in the photo. The speakers are installed in small sound chambers, the headphone housing itself has a purely decorative function. The screws that secure the camera just stick out, the threads on them are torn off, and the camera is glued with glue. Here someone writes that German quality does not smell like a basement from China . Guys, honestly, on Ali you can buy headphones with 40-50 mm drivers for this money, which will sound no worse. By sound - the bottoms are loose, with a cotton attack, booming. The mids are sluggish and the highs are weak. As a result, the scene is already average, there is not enough detail. For high-quality listening to music, they are of little use. For speech programs and control - quite. Maybe someone will like them, but, honestly, it's better to save up a little and take something for 3-4 thousand. About materials with assembly. The ear pads are just awful. Ears sweat. They'll probably fall off in a year. Well, knit knots on wires to secure, even the Chinese don’t allow themselves this now, but here Sennheiser .

Its pros: As always, Sennheiser has a great sound with good bass. Different cons: The cord is too long as I use this model mainly outside the home.
