You get what you pay for.
I bought it as a gift and it was well received, but after just one use I noticed that some of the stains had not changed and on closer inspection I saw that the outer layer of the mug was damaged / somehow damaged, even if I handle it with extreme care. (I accidentally broke 2 of my girlfriend's coffee mugs so I bought these and as someone who washes dishes by hand I wanted to make sure nothing happened to them.) In any case, I assume the price is due to some bottom is low and don't expect it to remain in great condition for very long.
