Review on Bluedot Trading 60X Jewelers Loop: Enhanced Magnification for Beading & Jewelry Making by Michelle Langley

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Small but useful.

Holy mackerel, that thing is small - don't lose it! Pros: Very portable, easy to transport - Comes with a small protective case - LEDs, white and UV included (I don't know how well UV works on real currency and don't plan on using it for that, but a white LED is extremely useful when looking at nearby objects) - The adjustable eyepiece allows you to focus, keeping the sight on the same plane as the plane. finish for stability Cons: - cheap plastic body - non-standard batteries - vignetting at the edges of the image - I doubt it's 60x, but compared to another magnifier, which I use a lot (30x estimate), this mini has higher magnification; I don't know whether that says more about this mini magnifier or my other magnifier, I'm too lazy to get my expensive microscope out today and compare. :) - maybe too small for people with big hands. Overall: Great for use as a basic, basic magnifying glass. Fits easily in your pocket, glove box or on your desk. It feels a bit cheap in terms of construction, but at $4 it's hard to complain too much. Speaking of sheer quality, I'd probably give it a 2.5 or 3. However given its cost I give it 4 stars for its reasonable price, portability and the included LED which makes it much more useful. simple magnifying glass.
