Poor construction, runs BIG

Bought for my soon to be 5yo who is in a girls small or 6/7. Purchased the 5/6 size. Even after cinching they straps as short as they could go, this was still too big on her. Lots of extra material in the crotch area, so it’s a no go. In addition it’s shoddy sewing, lots of loose/extra threads, the hardware on the strap feels flimsy and the way they "finished” the strap leaves the end of it exposed with a bunch of elastic poking out. Tried to show the loose threads, the exposed elastic and how the strap gets twisted in the hardware.It’s a CUTE print so we are bummed.
