Leaves burns on hand

We got these for our 3 month old son but I think he was too small for them. They were quite large and uncomfortable for him to put in his mouth and the friction left an ugly red stain on his hand for more than a week. They are easy to clean and have a good grip so they don't all fall off. Time. I'll try them even if he's a bit older. Definitely not for a 3 month old as the description would suggest.
