Review on Ford Triton Spark Repair TIME SERT by Tres Carmon

This is the tool you need. Not really. That's it. Exactly here.

Purchased and used to successfully repair a 2002 Ford 4.6 liter petrol engine that had the #7 spark plug and coil flying out of the head. I investigated the issue and found this to be the RIGHT way to fix it. Broken connector thread. Other options included removing the head and/or running a machine shop. Removing the head was NOT necessary as the work "over the wing" with the head was completed in about 2.5 hours. I have many hours of work under the hood as a "Shadow Tree" mechanic, but I took my time with it. This can easily be done in much less time even by someone with little experience. YOU DO NOT HAVE TO BE AFRAID OF REPAIRS. The set seems reliable; The tools will stop cutting when they reach the set depth. Most of the time was spent on sweeps (first 2 steps) since I did them manually. You can use an air ratchet to speed up these steps, but I wanted to feel it with my hand. The kit comes with pretty much everything you need to do a repair, although I'd recommend getting a good lube or WD40 to grab and bind the metal shavings. After a few turns, remove the tool head, wipe clean, re-lube, cut some more. A shop vacuum and some plastic/rubber hoses also come in handy (I used an aquarium tank hose attached to a shop vacuum adapter). Wrench on top, then ratchet with extension on top. That was just enough to keep everything in place. The instructions are precise and easy to follow. The instructions are even laminated, so you always have them to hand while you work and don't damage them. I would also like to say that the instruments themselves are very well made; durable and accurate. Time-Sert is the best way. Expensive set, but I have no buyer's regrets. Worth every penny.
