Review on πŸ“Ί The Ultimate Entertainment on-the-go: Sylvania Dual Screen Portable DVD Players (9-inch) by Michael Boyle

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Good screen, no big straps.

The screen size is very good, it's very large for our small headrest and small hands, but it helps when several children try to look at the same screen. The features we wanted, the ability to pause playback in the event of a power outage, had to be selected from the menu options (which I couldn't manage before driving the car for the first time). The only reason it didn't get five stars is that the strap that goes around the headset is weak. There is no buckle or way to snap the strap, we had to use a safety pin to ensure the strap didn't come loose and the screen fall off. There is a clip to easily thread the band through, but there is no way to catch the band to keep it from slipping. We used old straps (with clips attached) from another portable DVD player and safety pins to be sure. The remote control only works when you are in front of the screen. So if the screen is on the back of the front seat, facing the back seat passengers, those passengers will have to operate the remote control, or you will have to move your hand back to use the remote control by pointing it at the screen. That's understandable and makes sense, but not what I thought before I bought it. I find the screen works great, I like that it has a battery and can't just be used when plugged in. I'm very glad we bought it for long car rides.
