The product is good but not perfect

Just go through yesterday. It is very beautiful and looks very similar to the one in the picture. It's not the highest quality wood, but certainly good enough, and the construction seems more than adequate for a small 10-20 pound dog. My only big issue is that if you use it on a wooden or non-carpeted floor, the one I got doesn't fit the floor. It was pretty wobbly and not very comfortable for me out of the box. The hesitation made the dog hesitate to use it. As a solution, I found some soft plastic self-adhesive "dots" at Home Depot and attached them to the underside of each of the four ground contact points. An additional caveat here is that I had to use dots of different thicknesses to make it stand without hesitation. Then the dots disappeared. The final modification was to use super glue at each point so they stick to the underside of the wooden stairs. Another improvement from using these points is that the ladder will not shift or move as the dog walks or walks. A little movement didn't sit well with my dog, and over time the ladder could move too far from my bed, posing a potential hazard for the dog to fall or slip. Now after this second modification the ladder seems to be stable and not slipping. in general, and it wasn't difficult to teach my little terrier to climb stairs. So I needed some unwanted modifications to make this article really useful. Still, with these fairly simple mods, things are looking good and functional at the moment. For a few bucks more, they could add adjustable "sliders" to the four contact points, and then it would be ready to go. If so, I would give this item five stars. I have to admit if you intend to use it on a carpeted floor I think it will probably be fully functional right out of the box with no modifications.
