Significant improvement over cheaper cameras in terms of image quality and field of view. I tried the cheaper one and it was almost useless. The field of view was so small that I could hardly see anything behind me. Also, after a month of use, the cheaper one got moisture in the lens. I'll see how well this one holds up. As others have said, the grid lines don't work at all. 1 star deduction for a feature that doesn't work. Plus, it's worth it compared to cheaper cameras.
