Although this device is designed for a large truck or RV, I used it as a setup for real-time monitoring of my workshop and yard. I mounted the cameras at arm's length and used a regulated 12 volt power supply. The monitor immediately connected to both cameras and showed a split screen. While not 1080p, the resolution was ideal for this use. The hardest part was mounting the cameras, which was easy thanks to the different brackets. Remember that red is positive and black is negative. Be careful with this! The manual was sufficient and fitting it to a large car shouldn't be a problem. I installed a camera on my truck as a backup monitor. We understand Pos. and neg. was a simple matter of using a voltmeter on the reversing light wiring. I'm a retired electronics engineer so I had no problems. Ask a friend for help if the wiring scares you. Weak light sensitivity is very good. The image is stable on both cameras. The image can be mirrored with each camera and the brightness and contrast can be adjusted individually. Enjoy!
