Review on πŸ“Έ Capturing Moments in Stunning 4K: Introducing Leica D-LUX 7 Compact Camera by Jessica Duran

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Big things come in small packages.

Bought this camera two years ago. I took it because I was tired of lugging my DSLR and lens around to different places and events in my free time; For custom and professional work, I shoot with mirror and mirrorless systems. But for everyday life? These camera bodies can be too much. This little camera flew by as I expected; It's unobtrusive, point-and-shoot, and I have enough manual control to direct the camera in my creative process. I found it easier to be a fly on the wall at events with family and friends as it's a small and unassuming camera, and a particular bonus was my ability to download JPGs to my phone and end up deleting them all . Night. It's also an amazing camera for taking photography seriously as an art. It's not the BEST camera, it's definitely not the best Leica camera out there. But it's certainly a great little camera. Raw photos preserve many of the finest details, and printed photos look great. I really loved this little camera; Hardly a day goes by that I leave the house without strapping it on. The only downside is that if you use this camera the way I do (in all conditions, all weather, etc.) you have to remember that the camera body and lens are NOT weatherproof. After a recent trip, I noticed dust particles in the sensor that I couldn't remove myself. And since the Leica warranty on this camera is only 2 years (if you buy it from Revain) my camera is out of warranty. So the camera is sitting on my shelf for the time being, waiting for me to send it to Leica for sensor cleaning. Before purchasing I knew it was a camera issue so I'm not mad. But the lack of weather protection and the susceptibility to dust are the reason why I give this camera 4 out of 5. Nevertheless, I support this camera. Once I've cleaned it, I bet I'll carry it with me all the time again.
