I bought it as a gift for my husband. He was in seventh heaven and took him on our Alaskan cruise. Great quality with a cool retro look.

Great performance for Point & Shoot digital cameras

I needed a lightweight camera that would take quality photos. I bought Leica because of the excellent reputation. I love zooming in on my photos and I found that my 4 year old Sony camera didn't have the pixels to take the zoom photos. It was a waste of money. I decided it was time to do something amazing that I could trust. I took zoomed pictures with the Leica D-Lux 7 and then enlarged them on the computer. The photos were amazing. Big things come in small packages.

Bought this camera two years ago. I took it because I was tired of lugging my DSLR and lens around to different places and events in my free time; For custom and professional work, I shoot with mirror and mirrorless systems.
