Review on πŸ”Œ Custom 4-Pin Trailer Wiring Harness for Toyota Avalon & RAV4 - CURT 56350 (Black) by Paul Vanlaere

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Definitely enough wire to connect it to the battery, connection tips below.

I was concerned about the feedback that the battery connector cable was too short. Luckily that's not the case, at least not on my 2016 Rav4 LE. Although the wiring to the battery is by far the trickiest part. Here are my tips: 1. Drill a hole in one of the rubber plugs on the rear left side of the trunk to get out. This keeps the seal tight and utilizes the existing hole.2. Pull the cable through the wheel arch. Unscrew about 5 plastic screws, fold back the felt, and then route the cable under the felt. Put the felt back on, tighten the screws again, done.3. Follow the cable to the wiring that climbs up to the plastic shell near the wheel.4. Pass the cable under the plastic tray until it exits near the entrance to the engine compartment. (That was a bit tricky, but doable with some skill).5. Run a length of string through the right rear of the engine bay until it exits next to the power cord. Tie the power cord and cord together, and then pull the cord up to lift the power cord. 6. Secure everything with the zip tie once you get to the battery. If I had known all of this before attempting the install, I probably would have saved an hour of my time.

Pros
  • One year trial period
Cons
  • Long delivery time
