This camera is AMAZING. There's so much in it!

Panasonic is so RIGHT I don't even know where to start. First of all, I'm an ex-boyfriend of Sony FF. I had A7II, A7RIII, even the original A7 and A7S. I say that because no Sony FF camera has ever been associated with me in any way. I'll admit that my latest Sony A7RIII had some pretty amazing Eye AF, and Sony did a great job on it. While I always shoot in both RAW and JPEG whenever possible, I don't want to fix or edit almost every image I choose to SAVE. This is of course subjective, but apart from the MEH feeling of the Sony A cases, and that even with improved color reproduction. Gosh, I hated the Sony Color. ESP skin tones and especially green tones. I hated Sony's color science so much I decided to sell my A7RIII. Ok sorry, this is not a criticism of Sony and there were LOTS of things I liked about Sony bodies as well as a lot of GREAT lenses. I've been enjoying Sony's autofocus lately and even their excellent battery life. Sorry to fast forward to this REVIEW. I just wanted to say where I'm from. I also still own and LOVE my Fuji XT3 and if anything I can call myself a Fuji fan. FINALLY all right with the DC-S1 in a word. IMPRESSIVE! I mean WOW judging by the way it's in your hands (subjectively I guess). The COLOR is top notch, the best I've seen straight out of the camera. I'm not sure if that's just MY OPINION? With my calibrated monitor, almost everything I photograph looks EXACTLY as if I were looking at it in real life. It's red, green, blue, SKIN TONES. I bought an S1 with this supposed "kit lens" 24-105 and my goodness, this lens is sharp throughout the range. I don't see any C/A. Vignetting is almost zero, which helps the rocket focus quickly. The micro contrast is a bit like a Leica. Oh, there used to be Q too. Back to the camera, every button seems to be in the right place. It is EXTREMELY customizable. Even the highlight gives you a million colors to choose from. It's almost overkill how much you can customize this camera. The big problem just focuses on the contrast. In good English, is it shit? Hell no, not for photography. Without a doubt I'm getting MUCH more preservers with this DC-S1 than I've ever had with any Sony, even with their great auto eye focus. The S1 also performs Eye AF. It seems to me that it has a slightly smaller range (distance to subject) to capture the eye, but I get much clearer shots of my subject's eyes than my A7RIII. Strange. The electronic viewfinder is amazing. how good is he Everything just works. When I need critical focus, this provides spot focus. The center of the image is automatically zoomed in so you know if you are in the frame or not. Pin Point does slow down the autofocus a bit, however, but for things you don't need to shoot at rocket speed, like flowers, or even focus on a specific eye if you're too far away for the eye to autofocus. Work is just SO spot on. Battery life seems VERY good, although not as good as the new Sonys. Image stabilization works VERY well although I haven't had many keeper's say 1/5th or 1/10th of a second but I've had the same issues with my Sonys as I don't think I have the steadiest of hands. What I like most about this camera is the "image quality"! As well as high ISO capabilities. I don't know what kind of sensor Panny uses, but they definitely offer a lot of great image quality, low noise and wide dynamic range. One area I can't comment on AT ALL is video capabilities, sorry. I just DO NOT record videos with my cameras, so I have no idea if this S1 is any good for videos. Or maybe the contrast autofocus can let you down a bit. MAINTENANCE. In short, this is my favorite camera I've ever owned, considering EVERYTHING. Yes, even two slots for memory cards. Wake up Nikon, Canon! and they WILL, but. Yes, it's a bit more than many mirrorless systems, but it feels SO right to me. Difficult to explain. I wish they would hurry up with new lenses, although I know Sigma will be launching a ton soon. I would prefer a 2.8 zoom, e.g. B. 24-70. I think it will happen with time. I know that this S1 has a high price. And THAT is a camera for FF beginners. All I can say is that it really feels better than my A7RIII and the picture quality is AMAZING. Do not believe me? Maybe try renting one of these before taking the plunge. BIG camera. Panasonic knocked her out of the park.!
