One of the 5 locations has a threading problem. Luckily I had a filter that didn't bother me much so I put that in first to fix the threads so as not to damage one of my more expensive filters. You'll have to deduct a star for that, since the possibility of damaging any of your other gear is a big problem. Also the hole the wheel sticks out through so you can change position - gaping! I can't think of any scenario other than total darkness where the ambient light doesn't penetrate. The gap is much larger than necessary. It's a hard metal, so it's heavy but strong. The movement is smooth, but be careful when taking it apart as there are spring-loaded balls (detents) that give it a nice "clicking" motion between positions. Balls and feathers can fly apart if you're not careful. When I'm not using it, I drape a gallon plastic bag over it to keep dust from entering the Grand Canyon on the side of this thing and getting into my filters and optics, and I wear a black t-shirt over it when I'm photographing with it it will not be scattered. . I'm sure you probably don't have these concerns if you're paying $500 for high-end electronics, but I'm on a tight budget, so I appreciate that we humans have options too. Now I'll actually use my filters since it's easy to switch between them. The included adapters can be configured to be used in a variety of ways, but this also means you can use the filters in reverse. This is normal for some filters, but not all. In general I am quite satisfied.
