Overnight success. This backpack is exactly what I was looking for when it comes to day hikes and short term hikes. The main compartment can hold my bivy bag, sleeping bag, poncho, spare clothes and about two disassembled MREs. one compartment and sufficient first aid, a signal mirror, chemical lanterns, a space blanket and a small distress radio in another compartment. The single zippered pocket holds a headlamp, hand sanitizer, paracord, and a few other small items. I can attach my sleeping pad at the bottom with two bungee cords. I am 1.60m tall and this backpack fits me comfortably. Maybe this will help you get a picture of the skeleton of your own body. I haven't had this backpack for a long time so I can't attest to its longevity. So far I've only used it on a few hikes and one night hike. There doesn't seem to be anything on the backpack that looks like wear and tear could start quickly unless someone intentionally mistreated the bag. This bag should also be sufficient for the short trips that you take with you. If you're a minimalist, you might be able to get even more out of your bag. I finally have great photos of this bag but I can't upload them.
