As a scouting person I wanted a decent watch with some navigation features and went for this one. What I've done with this watch: Hike with an altimeter and compass – Swim to the bottom of a 10ft pool repeatedly – Surf a 3ft shore – Track heart rate and pedometer while running – Track barometric pressure during nearby hurricanes – Partially dissolved in the back of the watch while being worn while still damp with bug repellent (ugly but it still works) Fun Facts: The watch is sized to fit my 7.5 inch wrist It has a big hole - the watch is very light (I consider it a pro) - the battery lasted six weeks after the first charge as a result of the above usage and still doesn't show a low battery indicator - the branded charging cable works but I do would like to do it. It was USB-C so I wouldn't have to worry about losing it. The buttons protrude and are sometimes accidentally pressed. Get a display with black text on a white background. The compass is accurate enough for basic navigation, but I wouldn't rely on it to steer a ship or do difficult orienteering. I still haven't figured out how to record runs or calibrate a barometer. I would deduct half a star for readability issues, but otherwise I have no major complaints.
