Hands down the best self-care tool!
I have literally dozens of different combs and brushes that I have purchased over the years to groom my American Cocker Spaniel. This is the ONLY thing that really worked. Not only does he fight his way through the dense tangles of fur, but he is also careful enough that my cocker doesn't frantically run away to escape what has always proved to be quite a painful and frustrating experience for two. from us. A big plus, as pointed out by another reviewer, is the wooden handle for a comfortable grip.
